The regulation is common to the EU\/EEA, so the differences that exist between countries within the EU today will disappear almost completely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list is-style-one-column\">\n<li>GDPR stands for General Data Protection Regulation and is an EU regulation that replaces the old Data Protection Directive from 1995.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will apply in all EU and EEA countries as of May 25 this year.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The GDPR means increased control and documentation requirements for all businesses that process personal data.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The new rules aim to strengthen individuals&#8217; privacy rights.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">There are 7 basic principles within the GDPR:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list is-style-one-column\">\n<li>You can only process personal data if you comply with the law.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Personal data may only be collected for a specified purpose.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Only the data necessary to fulfill the purpose may be collected.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you have personal data, you must keep it accurate and up to date.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Once the purpose is achieved, the data should be deleted.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Personal data must be stored securely so that it cannot be altered or stolen.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You must be able to prove that you meet all these requirements.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>We, Hotel Concordia Syd AB, always limit our collection of data and processing of personal data to the minimum necessary. In some cases, we are obliged to transfer your personal data to third parties due to applicable laws, for example in case of suspicion of crime. All external service providers must of course also comply with all applicable data protection rules.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, the owners of Hotel Concordia Syd AB and its subsidiaries are not legally responsible for the compliance of external service providers, so-called third party companies, with the GDPR. In order to run our hotel business and fulfill our mission, we need to collect certain personal data in connection with bookings. Your guest profile is saved for a maximum of 1 year from the first registration date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can request the deletion of your data at any time, unless there are business reasons for keeping it, for example in case of non-payment for the hotel stay. For questions or requests for deletion of personal data, please contact us at <a href=\"mailto:info@concordia.se\">info@concordia.se<\/a> or 046-13 50 50.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What is personal data?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cPersonal data\u201d is any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. If we, Hotel Concordia Syd AB cannot establish a direct contact to you personally, the information is not considered personal data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why do we need your personal data?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In order for us, Hotel Concordia Syd AB, to be able to conduct our hotel business in a correct and commercial manner, we need to save some of your personal data in our databases and hotel booking programs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hotel Concordia Syd AB processes personal data for hotel guests and members of our frequent guest program \u201cConcordia Card\u201d. Please note that if your consent is withdrawn, Hotel Concordia Syd AB may, on other legal grounds, still have the right to process your personal data, such as under the Swedish Accounting Act. At your request, we will inform you what personal data we have stored about you and why it is necessary for our hotel business. We will correct inaccurate information about you in our databases, as soon as it is discovered by you or by us. If you want us to delete your personal data or if you want to withdraw your consent to our use of your personal data, please contact us immediately, using the contact details below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Regular guest program \u201cConcordia Card\u201d<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>When you become a member of our frequent flyer program \u201cConcordia Card\u201d, you consent to us storing your personal data in our databases. It is your social security number, name, telephone number and address information that is saved. This is in order to be able to administer and update your information correctly and to ensure that our communications to you contain up-to-date personal data. When you are a member of the \u201cConcordia Card\u201d, you give your consent to receive Hotel Concordia Syd AB&#8217;s Newsletter. This personal data is stored for as long as you are a member of the hotel&#8217;s regular guest program \u201cConcordia Card\u201d. When you notify us of your wish to withdraw, we will delete all your personal data from our databases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Booking via third party companies<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>If you book a room at Hotel Concordia through an online travel agency (OTA&#8217;s), such as Booking.com or Hotels.com, these third party companies are responsible for how your personal data is handled and that the GDPR legal requirements are met. When a booking is made through an online travel agency, they send certain personal data to Hotel Concordia Syd AB&#8217;s databases in order for us to receive the booking. The owners of Hotel Concordia Syd and subsidiaries are never responsible for how your personal data is handled by these third-party companies, OTAs or so-called online travel agencies. This is another consent that you give to these OTAs when you book through their websites.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Booking confirmations<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>We will always send you a booking confirmation by email, once you have made a booking on www.concordia.se and in this respect we use some of your personal data to provide that hotel service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How do we store personal data and for how long?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Since there is no legal requirement and no specific recommendation regarding storage times of personal data, Hotel Concordia Syd AB has chosen to save guest profiles in our hotel booking program (in our database) as long as there are business reasons, however, guest profiles are saved for a maximum of 1 year, then all personal information about a guest is deleted in our databases. Business reasons can be, for example, to receive full payment for the hotel stay. Exceptions to deletion after 1 year are, for example, in the event of incorrect payment from the hotel guest\/booker\/company and\/or in the event of legal disputes between Hotel Concordia Syd AB and the guest\/company, then we will save personal data information about this hotel guest\/booker\/company until we have received correct payment. Personal data regarding members of the regular guest program \u201cConcordia Card\u201d will always be saved until the individual cancels their membership of the regular guest program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hotel Concordia Syd AB stores all personal data in our database. The database is cloud-based and located in a server hall with the highest security in Ireland (EU). There is therefore no physical computer at Hotel Concordia in Lund (St\u00e5lbrogatan 1) or anywhere else in our business that stores your personal information. We have chosen to store our information on cloud servers owned and managed by Microsoft Company. Only accredited personnel from Hotel Concordia Syd AB, Oracle support and our IT support company have the right and can log in to these cloud servers. Nets Sweden AB is a PCI certified card acquiring company that applies the highest international security requirements for credit card processing. The bank we work with for all credit card purchases and Swish payments within our business is Svenska Handelsbanken. Hotel Concordia Syd AB stores encrypted credit card information securely in the hotel booking program for 30 days. All traffic regarding credit card purchases is encrypted, according to Nets Sweden AB&#8217;s security system.
