The most important thing for us at Hotel Concordia is to be able to offer you a high level of service. We have always strived to improve our organisation, for instance by supplying you with the latest techniques within different areas and by continously renewing our guest rooms. At the same time it has been of great importance for us to keep the exciting and historical architecture that the hotel building provides. Service is a word of various meanings that we would like to describe: "When a person do his/her best to succeed in making another person satisfied" This attitude has always been our motto, ever since the grand opening of the hotel, in the year 1982. Hotel Concordia - an eco-labelled hotel
The environmental work inside the hotel organisation Ever since the grand opening in the year of 1982, Hotel Concordia has been working with a broad and long-term environmental work and we have always strived to reach our environmental goals. A few years ago, we didn´t have any kind of environmental certification, although we have been able to meet most of such eco-standards for many years. We felt that the time was right for us to be a part of a great environmental organisation and to be an environmental-certified hotel. We contacted SIS Eco-labelling in Stockholm, and applied for becoming an eco-labelled hotel according to the international environmental ISO-standard 14001. The eco-label is called "The Swan" and is the official Nordic ecolabel, introduced by the Nordic Council of Ministers. As the 95th hotel in Sweden (approx. 1800 hotels total in Sweden) we were certified with "The Swan" in April 2005. We were delighted to receive this certification. Our main environmental goal in the near future is to continue to keep the same quality level of our environmental work. For a long time, in our daily work, we have been working according to a general environmental philosophy. In January 2009 a full scale review where executed by SIS Eco-labelling and now we have renewed our eco-certificate until 2012! This control of our environmental work showed a number of positive things, including our decrease level of water usage. This success of decreasing the water usage at the hotel is all thanks to Alfa Laval and their efficient products, minimizing and supervising the water usage within our organisation. We highly recommend Alfa Laval and their excellent products!

The environmental policy at Hotel Concordia At Hotel Concordia in Lund Sweden, we will always follow the present environmental legislation and continuously strive to maintain and improve the environmental conditions, both the ones of our guests and also the ones of our staff. To fulfil these conditions requires a great amount of work and a general environmental philosophy within a number of areas:
Throughout the year we are working together for a better environment and how to increase our knowledge of the environment. We realize the importance of protecting the natural environment surrounding us. Our estate (the hotelbuilding) is cultural labelled and this makes us very cautious when renovating or making changes inside the hotelbuilding. For many years we have been using environmental routines, based on a positive, thoughtful and long-term environmental philosophy. From April 2005 we are environmental certified according to the international environmental standards ISO 14001. The eco-certification is called "The Swan".
Internet - Always free access as our guest We offer 4 different kind of Internet connections at Hotel Concordia: The first Internet connection type we are offering you is free access to the high-speed (max 100 Mbit/s) wireless Internet system, available in the entire hotel building. During your entire stay with us you will connect to the Internet for free. The system is called "Concordia Wireless". The only thing you will need, to be able to use this Internet system, is a laptop with a LAN-card, a username and a password. You will receive the username and the password in our reception. If you need a Lan-card, you can lend one at the reception. The second Internet option is to use our very popular business centre, where all our guest have been able to use the internet for free with a high-speed connection since the year of 2000. As our guest, you can work with Office-programs such as Word, Excel, Power Point, etc. You can also print your work with a colour printer in this business center. Since all of our guests make a time-reservation to use the business centre, you can work without interruption during the session you have booked. The reservation is valid for 30 min/session, to increase the availability for all our guests. For those of you who don't want to or cannot use the 2 described Internet systems above, you have a third opportunity of accessing Internet in your room. This is charged in the same way as if you are making a phone call, about 1.5 SEK/minute. The fourth Internet option is to use one of the 2 guest-computers in the lobby, which are always connected to the internet, free of use 24 h/day. Please contact our serviceminded staff in the reception for any questions regarding the internet- and computersystems that we offer at Hotel Concordia in Lund.
Enjoy our diversified and popular breakfast After a good night sleep you can enjoy our diversified and enjoyable breakfast. The breakfast is served between 07.00-10.00 from Monday to Friday. At Saturday and Sunday morning breakfast is served 08.00-10.30. When enjoying our breakfast you can choose from the following various products:
Well, as you can see, we do our best to give you the best possible start of the day. We also provide you with daily newspapers and weekly magazines to read while enjoying your breakfast. We offer both swedish and english newspapers. Please contact our reception if you need to have your breakfast served at another time than mentioned above. We sell wine, beer & various products We are licensed to serve various alcoholic beverages at the hotel. We can also offer you coffee, tea, hot chocolate for free in our lobby. In all of our guest rooms there is a minibar containing the following products:

We hope that you will enjoy our range of beverages and snacks. We cooperate with two nearby and excellent restaurants located only 50 metres from the hotel. You can find the menu and pricelist in the informationfolder in your guest room.
In March 2011 our new & modern hotelgym opened. The gym with crosstrainer, training bike, rowing machine and free weights are available free of charge for our guests. The TV, with 19 channels, on the wall keeps you company during your training session. The hotel reception is open 24 h, all year. If you have any questions or need assistance, all you have to do is press 9 on the telephone in your guest room. Some one in our staff will always answer and meet your requests. 30 of our guest rooms are equipped with a DVD-player and 27" LCD-TV. 33 guest rooms have a 26" LCD-TV without a DVD-player. In 5 of our guest rooms we have air-conditioning installed and if you wish to stay in one of these rooms, please remember to state this as a request when making your reservation. We will help you solve all kinds of issues, whether you need information about the ticket sale for the theatre, or if you need to find out where Kulturen is located in relation the hotel. We are always here to assist you! If you need transport anywhere, there will be a taxi waiting for you outside of the hotel, always within 15 minutes from the moment you ask us to order one. Usually the taxi arrives only 5 minutes after ordering. In your guest room you always have access to 19 high quality TV-channels, for example BBC World, ZDF(german), TV 5(french), National Geographic, Russia Today, DR 1 & DR 2(danish), etc (Our range of TV-channels are totally free from eroticism). We also provide 4 radio-channels (P1, P2, P3 & P4). As our guest you always have free access to Hotel Concordia´s relax area, that includes a sauna with a spectacular view over the rooftops down to the park. After enjoying the sauna you can relax in comfortable chairs and maybe watch a program/movie on a 32" LCD -TV or listen to some music.

We educate our staff in fire protection and safety issues. Our fire protection system is top modern and contain a sprinkler system in 15 of our guest rooms and also smoke detectors in all of our guest rooms and other sections of the hotel. Safety for our guests and staff is very important for us. This is why we have an agreement with a security company and we also have a modern surveillance videosystem installed at the hotel. On the inside of all the entrance doors of our guest rooms are evacuation plans placed. Manual fire extinguishers are placed at several locations in the building. We receive a lot of good ideas and suggestions from Lunds Fire Department of how to improve our fire protection on a regular basis. We appreciate this and wish to thank the skilled staff at Lunds Fire Department.
